St. Mary Parish Sheriff: Man on Daily Review’s ‘Most Wanted’ list arrested
MORGAN CITY, La. -- A 29-year-old man, who was on The Daily Review’s Most Wanted List, and wanted by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office on a warrant for forgery, was booked into the St. Mary Parish Jail Thursday after he was located in Belle Chasse, St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Spokeswoman Traci Landry said.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office received two phone calls from people who searched for Damien Keller, 29, who was wanted for forgery, online and found information on the warrant Keller was wanted for, Landry said. St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s detectives notified Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s detectives, Keller was arrested, and transferred to the St. Mary Parish Jail in Centerville.
Keller had been featured in the Most Wanted series since May.
On May 14, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of a forged check. While reviewing account transactions, the victim discovered that a personal check written out in the amount of $250 had been cashed. After speaking with the victim and working with the victim’s bank, the deputy investigating the complaint identified Keller as the suspect who forged and cashed the check, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said.
Keller’s last known addresses are Bayou Corne Drive in Pierre Part, and Kem Street in Patterson, Hebert said in May.
