Berwick takes parish junior high meet titles

The Berwick Junior High School track teams swept the team titles at the St. Mary Parish Junior High Championship Relays April 1 at Geisler Stadium.

Horsehoe pitchers place at Harahan event

Morgan City horseshoe pitchers were represented in Class A and Class B of the Harahan Horseshoe Classic. In Class A, Al Dodson placed third with a 3-2 record and a ringer percentage of 37.5, while in Class B, Burnie Williams of Morgan City finished third with a 4-3 mark and a ringer percentage of 23.9. Hartleys dominate March St. Mary Elite tourney

Miles Liner Foundation run held Saturday

The second annual Run For Miles and the innaugural “Tommy Bourgeois Fun Run” were held Saturday in Berwick. The run is part of the Miles Liner Foundation, whose purpose is to remember Miles Liner in the Berwick and LSU communities, according to the foundation’s website. The Berwick High alumnus was a student at LSU when he was tragically killed in October 2012.
