Eagles record shut out against Sacred Heart

Central Catholic High School shut out Sacred Heart of Ville Platte, 14-0, at the Kiwanis Club of Lafayette’s jamboree Friday. Guarisco was named Central Catholic’s Most Valuable Player by the jamboree after scoring two touchdowns on offense, while rushing for 66 yards and recording 48 yards receiving. Schexnayder earns AAU honor

Kai Schexnayder has been chosen to be included in the 2014 edition of “The Best Basketball Player of AAU.” The 12-year-old Patterson Junior High student, who plays AAU ball for the New Iberia-based Louisiana Scholars, will have his biography published in the edition, which recognizes the best AAU basketball players in the United States. Schexnayder is the son of Robert and Michelle Schexnayder, and the grandson of Randolph and Joan Schexnayder and Leonard and Thelma Dugar. He is coached in AAU by Richard Pecantte. (Submitted Photo)
