St. Edmund pounds Eagles 8-1 in Class 1A semifinals

No. 7 St. Edmund pounded the baseball en route to an easy 8-1 victory against No. 6 Central Catholic in Class 1A semifinal action at McMurry Park Friday.

Swinging for a Cause tournament

Luhr Brothers won first place at the Swinging for a Cause Tournament held May 9 at The Atchafalaya at Idlewild. A portion of the proceeds went to St. Mary Parish Schools’ golf teams. 144 players competed in a scramble format consisting of four-player teams.
