Reese's defeats Candy Fleet in softball action

Reese’s defeated Candy Fleet 6-4 in 7- and 8-year-old Morgan City Recreation Department softball action Wednesday.

Nyla Morse led Reese’s with a 3-for-3 performance with three runs, while Amaya Williams finished 3-for-4 with a run. Lacey Guagliardo was 2-for-3 with a run.

For Candy Fleet, Kamryn Olivier finished 3-for-3 with a double and a run and Carsyn Fabre was 3-for-4 with a run.

Also on Wednesday, Snickers defeated Red Hots, 11-5, in 9- and 10-year-old action.

Adrianna Dupuis, Lana Whittington and Hannah LaCoste all finished 2-for-2 for Snickers, with Dupuis scoring two runs and Whittington, a run.

Jamia Francois finished 1-for-1 with a double and a run for Red Hots, while Catherine Autrey was 1-for-2 and Sariayah Bourgeois had two walks and scored two runs.

On Tuesday, Red Hots edged Sweet Tarts, 6-5, in 9- and 10-year-old action.

Sariayah Bourgeois finished 2-for-2 with a double and two runs for Red Hots, while Emily Price was 2-for-2 with two runs.

Ashley Daigle led Sweet Tarts with a 2-for-3 performance, while Madalyn Hebert and Drew Angeron each finished 1-for-2 with a run.

In 7- and 8-year-old action, Borden’s defeated Reese’s, 4-2.

Olivia Black and Presley Bruni each finished 2-for-3 with a run for Borden’s, while Sarah David and Natalie Sloan each were 1-for-3 with a run.

Lacey Guagliardo finished 2-for-2 for Reese’s, while Amaya Williams was 2-for-3 and Nyla Morse, 1-for-2 with a double and a run.

On May 8, Snickers defeated Red Hots, 9-8.

Haylie Crappell and Anaria Clark each finished 1-for-1 with a run, while Emma LaCoste, Hannah LaCoste and Aja’Lia Hamilton all walked twice.

For Red Hots, Terre’Yan Johnson was 1-for-1 with a home run, while Jamia Francois was 2-for-2 with a run.

In 7- and 8-year-old action, Candy Fleet defeated Reese’s, 4-2.

For Reese’s, Madison Schouest was 3-for-3 with two RBIs, while Amaya Williams was 2-for-2 with a run and Alayah Hayles, 2-for-3.
