ANNA DONDINAKI HANAGRIFF

Anna Dondinaki Hanagriff, a native of Chania, Crete, Greece and resident of Centerville for the past 33 years, passed away at the age of 76 on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at 5 p.m., at Opelousas General Hospital. Anna was a woman of strength, character, and generosity who was devoted to her family and loved ones. She also never passed up a good casino! She was truly one of God’s unique angels.
Visitation will be held Wednesday at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Inurnment will follow Thursday morning at 11 a.m. in the Presbyterian Cemetery in Centerville.
Survivors include four children, Kari Purser and her husband, Robert, of Opelousas; Linda Scimio and her husband, Thomas “Dago,” of Centerville; David Hanagriff and his wife, Angie, of Centerville; and Randy Hanagriff and his wife, Desi, of Garden City; nine grandchildren, Robert Purser II, Alexandra Purser, Blake Purser, Anthony Scimio, Pierce Hanagriff, Jackson Hanagriff, Porter Hanagriff, Isabella Hanagriff and Maximilian Hanagriff; as well as many family members still residing in Greece.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Numa Emmett ‘Buddy” Hanagriff; her parents, Konstantinos and Gewrgia Dondinaki; as well as by two sisters, Vassilia and Kallirooh; and two brothers, Konstantinos and Emmanouhl.
