Morgan City man arrested for possession of cocaine
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported deputies responded to 74 complaints and made the following arrests since Monday morning.
—Candice Lee Burton, 26, of Franklin Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:26 a.m. Monday on a warrant for probation violation. She turned herself in at the sheriff’s office in Franklin. She remains jailed with bail not yet set.
—Melissa Guillory Treadway, 54, of Deforest Brown, Franklin, was arrested at her residence at 2:58 p.m. Monday on a warrant for failure to appear for issuing worthless checks. She was released after posting a $700 bail.
—Alicia Nichole Tucker, 17, of Todd Lane, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:32 a.m. Tuesday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft under $500. She turned herself in at the sheriff’s office in Morgan City. She remains jailed with a $1,500 bail.
—Jovan M. Mosely, 32, of Bernard Street, Patterson, was arrested at 1:02 a.m. today on a warrant from the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office for contempt of court. A deputy investigating a separate complaint at a lounge on La. 182 in Amelia came into contact with Mosely. He remains jailed with a $10,000 bail.
Morgan City police report one arrest Tuesday, according to Assistant Chief Glenn Blanco:
—William Hart, 54, of Sixth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:19 p.m. Tuesday at the Solar Apartments for possession of cocaine. Officers received a call to go to Solar Apartments in the laundry room area for a possible drug transaction taking place. Hart remains jailed with bail not yet set.
