“The Acadiana Mega Raffle is an opportunity for people in Acadiana and beyond to support and strengthen philanthropy in our region. This is unlike any other raffle in our area and provides a 1-in-30 chance of winning. Regardless of who wins the grand prize, philanthropy will win big,” said Raymond Hebert, president and CEO of Community Foundation of Acadiana.
A total of 30,000 tickets are available with a 1-in-30 chance of winning. There will be three drawings for the Acadiana Mega Raffle: the Early Bird Drawing on July 18, the Bonus Drawing on Aug. 15 and the Grand Prize Drawing on Sept. 12.
Tickets for the first drawing can be purchased from June 1 through July 16 for $100 and are available online atwww.AcadianaMegaRaffle.com. Tickets purchased prior to July 16 will be eligible to win prizes in all three drawings. Additionally, tickets remain in the draw for the duration of the raffle even if the ticketholder wins a prize. Thus, it is possible for one ticket to be drawn more than once and for the ticket holder to receive multiple prizes. Tickets are in electronic form and the buyer will receive a receipt of the purchase with a unique ticket number at the time the purchase is made.
