On Aug. 17, Louisiana Shrimp and Petroleum Festival Children’s Day King and Queen Aedynn Chellette and Lillian Trimmer will crown the new children’s royalty following a 5:30 p.m. random drawing held at the Bayou Vista Spray Park.
Children of all ages are invited to the free pizza party and to play at the Spray Park, according to Allison Guagliardo, Children’s Day coordinator. The pizza party will be held from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Spray Park on Belleview Street. Children are reminded to wear swim attire to play in the park.
Those children in attendance that are ages 7 to 12 are additionally invited to register for the drawing to select the new Children’s Day king and queen. Entry forms will be available at the spray park and there is no fee to register.
