Fit-a-Thon benefits cancer patient

A benefit Fit-a-Thon “Do it for Stephanie” will be held Nov. 16 at Atchafalaya 24 Hour Fitness.
The fundraiser will help Stephanie Harrison Roshto with medical expenses associated with her second battle with breast cancer.
Roshto, 38, is a Berwick High School graduate and a resident of Luling.
The Fit-a-Thon will feature eight back-to-back classes starting at 8 a.m. Classes will last approximately 45 minutes.
For each class completed, the participant will receive an entry for a chance to win a three-month membership to Atchafalaya.
The schedule is:
—8 a.m. BodyPump;
—8:45 a.m. BodyCombat;
—9:30 a.m. Zumba;
—10:15 a.m. Grit Strength;
—11 a.m. BodyCombat;
—11:45 a.m. Grit Plyo;
—12:30 p.m. BodyPump;
—1:15 p.m. BodyFlow.
A Plank, Sit-up and Push-up Challenge will follow at a cost of $15. Prizes will be awarded for first place in each category. Winners will be selected by who can hold a plank the longest, and who can do the most sit-ups and who can do the most push-ups in the allotted time.
There is also a benefit raffle. Tickets are $10.
Prizes include a three-month membership to Atchafalaya, $100 gift certificate to Spectrum Tint, jewelry by Classic Rocks, a 30-minute training session with Kim Gil, a 30-minute massage by Nicole Robinson, manicure from Natural Nails, and oil change at Pennzoil.
Other prizes are gift certificates for a blowout and style, a makeup application, a facial and a 30-minute massage at Surrender Escape, a gift pack from Skipper’s Sporting Goods and a dozen cupcakes from Sweet and Simple.
