Brittany’s Project seeks applications for pageant

Brittany’s Project is seeking applicants for its Spring Royalty Pageant to be held at 4 p.m. March 16 at the Bayou Vista Community Center.
Applicants must be single, never married, never pregnant or given birth to a child and of good moral character. Contestants must reside in St. Mary Parish and young ladies ages 13 to 16 may enter in the Teen Division or ages 17 to 23 may enter in the Miss Division. All applicants must be able to travel and represent Brittany’s Project as the official ambassador at local and statewide events.
Participants will compete in personal interview (business suit), casualwear, (denim outfit - personality) and evening gown (floor length gown, any color) categories.
Anyone interested in applying should attach two letters of character reference and a current photograph for publicity to the entry form below along with the $50 registration fee must receive by deadline. All entries must be mailed by the Friday deadline.
Rehearsal dates will be announced after deadline. Awards will be given for Fashion, Most Photogenic and Top Interview
Winners will receive a rhinestone crown, trophy and a custom sash.
Brittany’s Project will also host a children’s pageant on March 16. Categories for the
Children’s pageant will be:
- Baby King/Queen – ages up to 11 months (girls and boys).
- Tiny King/Queen – ages 12 to 23 months (girls and boys).
- Toddler King/Queen – ages 2 to 3 years (girls and boys).
- Wee King/Petite Queen – ages 4 to 5 years (girls and boys).
- Little Miss – ages 6 to 8 years.
- Deb Miss – ages 9 to 10 years.
- Junior Teen Miss – ages 11 to 12 years.
All entrants for the children’s pageant must reside in St. Mary Parish. All participants will compete in two different outfits, Spring Easter Dress and Denim Sport, no pageant wear. They will be judged on personality, natural beauty, poise and modeling.
Awards will be given for Fashion, Most Photogenic, Participation and Runner Up in each division.
Winners will receive a rhinestone tiara, trophy and custom sash.
Anyone interested in participating in the Children’s Pageant can mail the form below by the Friday deadline along with the $50 registration fee.
Participants can enter either pageant at the door for a registration fee of $70.
