Area players, coaches will participate in Max Emfinger All-American Bowl Game Classic

Six Tri-City area senior football players and two coaches have been chosen to represent the area Saturday in Hammond at the Max Emfinger All-American Bowl Game Classic.

Morgan City High School outscored West St. Mary High School in every quarter Wednesday en route to a 64-46 victory in nondistrict action at Morgan City.

Berwick's Kenan Jones earns 3A All-State first-team honors

Four Berwick High School Panthers earned Louisiana Sports Writers Association Class 3A All-State team honors, including one first-team selection.

The prep football season may have ended earlier this month, but two Central Catholic Eagles will be participating in exhibition activity as they look to impress colleges.
