Gulf of Mexico residents hail ruling against BP

St. Mary Parish is expected to receive $5.3 million if a ruling Thursday by U.S. District Court Judge Carl Barbier that BP was “grossly negligent” in its actions leading to the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill stands.
