Drainage district officials have come up with a permanent solution to fix problems in Morgan City’s Lakeside Subdivision, but the board chairman says the district isn’t authorized to do the work required.
Chitimacha Police Chief Hal Hutchinson reported the following arrests: Kevin Daigle II, 29, of Arnaudville, was arrested Wednesday and charged with theft and released on a summons.
Former St. Mary Parish Sheriff David Naquin was on hand at the weekly meeting of the Franklin Rotary Club Tuesday to deliver an informative presentation as well as a message for the audience…if criminals leave behind fingerprints, law enforcement has a distinct advantage in identifying them and bringing them to justice.

Summer entertainment kicks off at St. Mary Parish libraries
