Morgan City’s city court judge expects a new state law to ensure city court always has a public defender due to recent funding concerns on the district court level.

The Patterson 10U All-Stars were perfect at the Louisiana Babe Ruth League State Tournament, winning the 10U title Saturday in Kenner after finishing the tournament with a 5-0 mark. Patterson outscored its opponents 51-7.
