The City Council gave approval Tuesday for engineers to move forward with the design and bid process of a project to replace the city’s existing wharf on Berwick Bay and extend the wharf to the south by almost 150 feet.
The St. Mary Central 10-year-old All-Stars beat West Monroe North 2-1 Tuesday to advance to the championship game today of the AAA Minor South Regional at Wally Pontiff Jr. Playground in Metairie. St. Mary Central took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning. Owen Thorguson singled driving in Luke Zerangue, who had singled.

Donation to Fallen Warriors Memorial

Don and Mata Tellman, left, made a donation on Thursday at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium to The Fallen Warriors Memorial Project.
