With the allocation of $91,861 from the sale of property, the St. Mary Parish School Board agreed to purchase 229 LearnPads for District 1 students where there was a disparity in distribution of the iPad-like devices.

No. 3 Central Catholic will meet No. 6 Ouachita Christian School Friday in a top 10 showdown in the Division IV quarterfinals in Morgan City. While Central Catholic enters the contest after edging No. 14 Delhi Charter 12-8 on a late touchdown score, Ouachita Christian rolled past No. 11 seed Covenant Christian 56-21.

Fallen Warriors Memorial unveiled

The Fallen Warriors Memorial Wall of Honor was unveiled Tuesday on the grounds of the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium. The wall includes the names of 47 soldiers from the Tri-City area who died in combat.
