Deputies say two Bayou Vista stop signs were stolen roughly a week after they were installed. The four-way stop at Southeast Boulevard and Delmar Avenue was approved by the St. Mary Parish Council in June and the signs were installed Aug. 8.

Depth and talented youth are two things the Berwick Lady Panthers will have on their side entering the 2014 season. Berwick coach Heather Blanchard said her team will be about 10 deep this year. “This year, you’re going to see us rotate more people in and out,” she said.
