Several cadets from the Franklin Senior High School Junior ROTC program recently went to Franklin Junior High School to give a lesson on flying the United States flag. Under the guidance of Sgt. Joseph Nowakowski, the students learned the origin and history behind the flag.
Berwick opened the Morgan City High School Jamboree with a 22-15 win against Covenant Christian Academy Friday at Tiger Stadium.

John Armato and Anna Washburn were crowned the 80th Louisiana Shrimp and Petroleum Festival King and Queen on Saturday at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium. The crowning took place during the festival’s annual coronation court.
