The Atchafalaya chapter of the Delta Waterfowl Foundation held its banquet Wednesday at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium. The event, which has grown through the years, is used as a fundraiser for both local initiatives and national work to keep the duck population thriving.
Franklin’s Historic District Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustments and Planning Commission said farewell to Chief Building Official & Planning and Zoning Director Blake Steiner at Tuesday’s meeting of the city council. Steiner accepted a position with the Rapides Area Planning Commission.
