The Tour du Teche — a 135-mile canoe, kayak and pirogue race through the heart of Louisiana’s Cajun Country — is scheduled Oct. 3 to 5, starting in Port Barre and ending in Berwick.
Teche Action Clinic was recognized Wednesday at a luncheon sponsored by the St. Mary Parish Chamber of Commerce. Teche Action is celebrating its 40th anniversary in October as a community health clinic provider. Teaching Garden

J.B. Maitland Elementary in Morgan City cut the ribbon on its American Heart Association Teaching Garden Friday.
