Marilynn Bailey blasted a three-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to tie Morgan City’s bi-district playoff game against West Ouachita at 6. But West Ouachita answered with the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh inning for a 7-6 win Tuesday in Morgan City.

The downtown live music series “Rhythms on the River” is scheduled to begin Friday and continue each Friday through June 20, according to a Cajun Coast Visitors and Convention Bureau news release. The dates for this year’s series are April 25, May 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30, June 6, 13 and 20.
