Two upcoming events at the Teche Theater for the Performing Arts are slated in July. On July 11 at 7 p.m. the Teche Theatre will again host the Magic and Acrobatics of the Crescent Circus.

A Morgan City couple, who has been charged with multiple counts of theft from an investment holdings company, filed a lawsuit Tuesday saying the company and company’s spokesman made “false accusations” against them in a lawsuit and to the media.

Radio amateurs get ready for disaster

Bayouland Emergency Amateur Radio Service, or BEARS, participated in the nationwide annual ham radio Field Day Saturday at its offices at the old Whitney Bank building in downtown Morgan City.
