A 2015 Patterson High School graduate appears in several episodes of the new drama “Queen Sugar” on the Oprah Winfrey Network. “Queen Sugar” premiered Sept. 6-7 on OWN. The series airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m.

Berwick fought through mistakes against Franklin Friday to remain undefeated with a 20-14 homecoming win. Berwick coach Eric Holden said Franklin came prepared “to battle” in Friday’s District 8-3A opener for both teams.

At the August meeting of Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Massabielle, members were recognized for perfect attendance.
