Patterson gets a break after two straight weeks against Class 5A teams, but Catholic High-New Iberia won’t be a cakewalk Friday in New Iberia. Catholic High (2-0) is currently ranked fourth in the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Class 2A poll with 95 points and one first-place vote.

Morgan City Junior High School students treated to theater visit

Morgan City Junior High School sent 260 students to the movies May 16 for having good behavior for the entire year. The reward is part of the Positive Behavior Intervention and Support Program. Darlene Toups of Lake Cinema hosted the class and the Morgan City Police Department provided escort from the school.
