Central Catholic opened its season at the Tri-City Baseball Classic with a 9-3 win against H.L. Bourgeois Thursday in Amelia. The game was one of three moved Thursday to Amelia due to rain in the area on Wednesday. The game was scoreless until the top of the fourth when H.L. Bourgeois plated a run.

Eagle Expo seminars, tours scheduled for this weekend

An eagle could be seen at the Extreme Raptors by Johnathan Wood at the Patterson Area Civic Center on Wednesday and Thursday. The event was part of the 10th Annual Eagle Expo and continues through the weekend.
