It may be his first year in the parish’s Talented Art Program, but Patterson High School senior Robert David is setting the student art world on fire.

On the heels of claiming the school’s third NJCAA football championship in four years, four members of East Mississippi Community College’s national title team have received 2014 NJCAA All-American honors, the NJCAA national office announced Tuesday.
This sign on the fence at Nick Accardo’s Main Street residence is “creative art,” Accardo said, and is for sale misspelled name and all for the price quoted on the sign. Accardo is a board member of Hospital Service District 1, recently beleaguered by controversy.

Holy Cross Elementary outreach

Each grade at Holy Cross Elementary School has chosen an outreach project to benefit the community. During December, the kindergarten classes and the faculty and staff of Holy Cross Elementary School collected Christmas gifts for the residents of the Patterson Healthcare Center. With the many items collected are the kindergarten classes of Lynn Ann Beaudean and Lauren Boudreaux.
