Franklin man arrested for possession of marijuana in Patterson
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
—Theophilos Porter, 20, of Prairie Road North in Franklin, was arrested at 3:28 a.m. today for possession of marijuana second offense. A deputy responding to a report of a disturbance on Laura Drive in the Patterson area observed a bag containing suspected marijuana inside a vehicle. Upon further investigation, the substance was found to be marijuana, Hebert stated. Porter was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail is set.
—Angela Marie Salinas, 24, of Jupiter Street in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 7:46 a.m. Wednesday for stop sign violation, no driver’s license and switched license plate. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign at the corner of Belleview and Jupiter streets. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver who was identified as Salinas. The deputy learned that she was driving with no insurance and that she was driving with a license plate from another vehicle, Hebert stated. Salinas was released on a summons to appear in court on Oct. 9.
Morgan City Police Chief Travis Crouch reported the following arrest:
—Ralph B. Redditt, 52, of Third Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday for disturbing the peace intoxicated.
Officers were dispatched to the area of South Railroad Avenue in reference to a person knocking on windows and then running away. Officers arrived and spoke with people who identified Redditt as being the person knocking on windows and running away. Officers located Redditt on First Street and found him to be intoxicated, Crouch stated. Redditt was taken to the police department and is being held on $292 bail.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
