A 55-year-old Morgan City man was arrested Sunday by Franklin Police for driving while intoxicated fifth offense, according to Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire.
—Roger Clements, 55, of Two Sisters Court in Morgan City, was arrested at 9:55 p.m. Sunday for driving while intoxicated fifth offense and resisting an officer by refusing booking. The arrest stems from a complaint to be on the lookout for a truck with an occupant that could barely stand. Clements registered a blood alcohol content of .161 grams-percent on a field sobriety test. Clements was jailed with no bail set yet.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 173 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in East St. Mary Parish:
—Jacob Collingwood, 22, of the 3100 block of La.70 in Pierre Part, was arrested at 8:49 p.m. Monday for broken tail light, possession of Schedule I (marijuana), and possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine).
A deputy found a small bag containing what appeared to be a white crystalline substance in a vehicle on U.S. 90 in Bayou Vista. The substance was identified as crystal meth. The deputy also located a burnt marijuana cigarette inside the vehicle. Collingwood was jailed with no bail set.
—Jonathan Beadle, 23, of the 400 block of Charlotte Drive in Patterson, was arrested at noon Friday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods. Beadle turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville after learning of the warrant for his arrest. He was released on a $5,000 bond.
—A juvenile male, 15, of Baldwin, was arrested at 1:45 p.m. Friday on a warrant for battery of a school or recreational athletic official (R.S. 14:34.4).

On Nov. 1, deputies working detail at a West St. Mary High School football game were notified of a disturbance on the field involving two West St. Mary High School juvenile football players and a referee. The incident was turned over to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Juvenile Division. Detectives determined that the two juveniles punched a referee in the head and shoulder areas, Hebert said. Both juveniles were asked to come to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin regarding the investigation. After speaking with the juveniles, they were arrested on the above charge and released to guardians pending juvenile court proceedings. This case remains under investigation at this time.
—Jarnissa S. Eugene, 17, of the 800 block of Tenth Street in Franklin, was arrested at 5:25 p.m. Friday for theft of goods. Eugene was released on a summons to appear in court Jan. 31.
—Angela Daigle, 47, of the 800 block of U.S. 90 in Patterson, was arrested at 6:14 p.m. Friday on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. A deputy made contact with Daigle at a residence on Arlington Street in Bayou Vista and learned of the warrant for her arrest. Daigle was released on a summons to appear in court Jan. 31.
—Christopher L. Smith, 30, of the 1400 block of Eighth Street in Slidell, was arrested at 9:31 p.m. Friday for possession of open alcoholic beverages in a motor vehicle. A deputy patrolling La. 182 in the Amelia area conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for driving without headlights. Smith was released on a summons to appear in court Jan. 31.
—Carmel Triggs Jr., 31, of the 800 block of Tall Timbers Lane in Patterson, was arrested at 4:06 p.m. Saturday on warrants for failure to appear on the charges of criminal neglect of family and simple criminal damage to property. No bail is set.
—Sedric Edison, 46, of the 8500 block of La. 182 in Franklin, was arrested at 2:08 a.m. Sunday for driving while intoxicated, no driver’s license, open alcoholic container in a motor vehicle, stopping/parking on a highway, no vehicle license, and expired license plate.
A deputy responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle parked in the lane of travel on La. 182 in the Ricohoc area. The deputy located a male sleeping inside the vehicle. Edison performed poorly on a field sobriety test and later refused a breath test. Edison was jailed. No bail is set.
—Matt J. Anslem, 25, of the 2600 block of La. 182 in Patterson, was arrested at 10:24 p.m. Sunday on a warrant from St. Martin Parish for riding on the levee. Anslem was jailed. No bail is set.
—Anna E. Reed, 20, of the 200 block of Canton Road in Berwick, was arrested at 11:45 a.m. Monday for theft of goods.
—A juvenile male, 16, of Bayou Vista, was arrested at 12:18 p.m. Monday for theft of goods.
A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings. Reed was released on a summons to appear in court Jan. 31.
—Jamie Martin, 27, of the 700 block of Prairie Road North in Franklin, was arrested at 3:19 p.m. Monday for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. The deputy learned from store personnel that Martin was seen placing items in her purse. Martin then attempted to leave the store without paying for the goods. She was released on a summons to appear in court Jan. 31.
—Joseph Fontenot, 25, of the 2400 block of Lake Palourde Road in Amelia, was arrested at 3:33 p.m. Monday on a warrant for simple battery, disturbing the peace, and simple assault. He was released on $1,000 bail.
—Stacy Hayes, 45, of the 1400 block of Roberts Drive in Houma, was arrested at 5:02 p.m. Monday for theft of goods.
—Heather Folse, 28, of the 100 block of Parrot Court in Gray, was arrested at 5:02 p.m. Monday for theft of goods.
Both were released on a summons to appear in court Jan. 31.
—Joseph J. Miller, 20, of School Land Road in Vancleave, Miss., was arrested at 6:17 p.m. Monday for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Miller was released on a summons to appear in court Jan. 31.
—Clayton Holland, 34, of the 200 block of Francis Street in Amelia, was arrested at 6:34 p.m. Monday on a warrant for theft. A deputy responding to a complaint on Francis Street made contact with Holland and learned of the warrant for his arrest. Holland was jailed. No bail is set.
Morgan City Police Chief Travis Crouch reported the following arrests:
—Adam Joseph Suire, 35, of River Road in Berwick, was arrested at 2:30 a.m. today on a warrant for failure to appear for careless operation, a warrant for failure to appear for driving under suspension, a warrant for failure to appear for no inspection sticker, a warrant for failure to appear for no child restraint, and possession of marijuana third offense. Officers saw Suire near Teche Regional Medical Center, and he was jailed with no bail set.
—Dwondald Duval Hinton, 50, of Jackson, Miss., was arrested at 5:37 p.m. Monday for criminal trespassing.
Officers responded to a complaint in regard to a person begging for money at the front of a store. Officers located Hinton and advised him to cease and leave the property and not to return.
The department received another call from a Railroad Avenue resident complaining that a person was begging residents for money. Officers learned that Hinton had repeatedly entered onto the Walgreen’s property even after being banned. He was jailed.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
