LYDIA DUVAL, RN was the recipient of the 2015 Louisiana School Nurse of the Year Award. She was chosen by the Louisiana School Nurse Organization and was honored April 16 at the LSNO’s annual conference in Shreveport. Duval has been a St. Mary Parish school nurse and health science facilitator for 21 years. She coordinates multiple programs in school health services including school nursing, homebound services, school-based health center, career tech Ed programs and the summer AHEC program. She is known for her dedication to improving the health and safety of the students and teachers of St. Mary Parish.
LSU’S E. J. OURSO COLLEGE of Business honored 16 MBA students at its annual Spring Awards Ceremony on April 21, in the Rotunda of the Business Education Complex. During the event, the college recognized outstanding individual students, student organizations and inducted new members into Beta Gamma Sigma. Among the MBA students recognized for their accomplishments was Lyndsey Naquin, daughter of David and Joy Naquin of Franklin. She was the recipient of a Beckworth Family Scholarship and the Outstanding Second-Year Flores MBA Student Award. The mission of the LSU Flores MBA Program is to remain competitive in the national and regional markets, while fostering learning, leadership and networking in a global business environment.
