MCHS, Berwick to continue postseason play

The Morgan City High School girls bowling team will begin Bi Regional play Monday at Holiday Lanes in Bossier City. Morgan City is 12-1 this season. Berwick routs Donaldsonville 18-3

Berwick High School routed Donaldsonville 18-3 in District 9-3A softball action in Berwick Tuesday.
The Lady Panthers scored 16 runs in the first inning.

Berwick powerlifters record top 3 finishes

Berwick High School had three members of its girls powerlifting team record top 3 finishes at the Division 3 state meet at Church Point High School Friday. Mary Grace Theriot placed third in the 97-pound weight class with total lifts of 390 pounds in the squat, bench press and deadlift, while Caroline Osburn was second in the 198 pound class with a total of 655 pounds and Shelby Bergeron, third in the 105-pound class with a total of 525 pounds. The Berwick Lady Panthers had a successful close to their inaugural powerlifting season as three competitors placed in the top three in their weight categories at the state meet.
